SCAFC DSA Unsung Hero award 2018

SCAFC DSA Unsung Hero Award 2018

Last season, the Swansea City AFC Disabled Supporters Association decided that it would be nice to recognise people who have gone the extra mile, in helping the football experience of our many disabled fans.
Together with Gareth Passey, Managing Director of Ark Fencing, who agreed to sponsor this award, the DSA Committee decided that the 2017 ‘Unsung hero’ award should be given to David Enstone, who runs the Liberty Stadium ticket office.
This year, the DSA committee had a few nominations to consider, but the clear winner was someone who goes over and above, in his support of fans with all kinds of disabilities, whether they be seen or unseen, permanent or temporary. He leads a team of Stewards, who are to be found in each stand, donned in their dark green “high-viz” jackets. Our Unsung Hero Award winner for  2018 is Head Disability Steward,  PHIL LANGFORD.
Here is Phil, with his award, being presented by DSA Committee Members LESLEY WILLIAMS and CATH WILLIAMS.
